Cool Our Troops Goes to the COOLest place in the valley - Alaska Bistro
| August 8, Cool Our Troops, with the help of Judy, the owner of the Alaska Bistro, held a very COOL fundraiser. The food was fabulous - the chef did a great job. We were entertained by The Amazing McNasty Brothers and a special guest appearance by Misty Griggs, who is auditioning for 'American Idol.' Misty? Misty Mates? It couldn't have been planned better. | The food was delicious! Seafood, pasta, and mouthwatering desert! | There were plenty of tables to enjoy the food and company. | Sue raffled off many prizes including game tickets and salon services. | The McNasty brothers got the crowd going with their crazy music and humor. | Misty Griggs, American Idol hopeful, brought down the house with an amazing rendition of the National Anthem. |

| When they weren't guardign the money, our trusty Marines were helping with the raffle | The Marines introduced themselves and recently returned-from-Iraq Marine Dillon Sharp. | The Marines got an overwhelming reception and we were honored to have them join us. | Sue and Susan and the end of the night, thankful for their new found friendship and an amazing night. | |

| The Grand Prize of the night was a trip for 2 to Alaska, compliments of the Alaska Bistro. The winner Curtis Snow and his 'companion' Bernadette Smallwood were overjoyed - in fact a stranger from the crowd (blue shirt) was so happy for him he gave him a hug! |
